a healthier breakfast

photo_granolaIt’s taken me many years to figure out breakfast. Years ago, I ate boxed cereal, donuts, or toast with sugar and cinnamon. Primarily because it was quick but I now realized I simply didn’t know anything else existed.

You: Really KalaLea?
Me: If I’m lying, I’m frying.

Every one around me ate the same unless we were having pancakes, bacon and eggs.

This morning I ate granola with yogurt from Erivan Dairy, blackberries, bananas and goji berries along with a Honey Crisp apple. Five years ago, I loathed yogurt, goji berries, AND bananas. Now I totally love it. When you make the decision to change what you eat, your taste buds will follow. Tomorrow I will eat something savory to limit the amount of sugar I’m consuming in the mornings. Sweet breakfast on Tuesday. Something savory on Wednesday.
