What a wonderful Wednesday! Last night after shooting the next recipe, we photographed today’s breakfast:
– cucumber and tomato salad (with a sprinkle of *xv oo, teeny bit of Bragg’s apple cider vinegar, dried chives, & fresh black pepper)
– 5 slices of Raclette cheese
– one slice of raisin and fennel semolina bread with raw honey on half
This was a yummy breakfast folks; and, less than an hour after my meal, I recall feeling light in the stomach and more alert given that I had less than 6 hours of sleep last night (which I do not recommend).
Experiment next week, how do you feel after breakfast? Sleepy, energetic, bloated, alert, calm??? Then change it up until you find a good balance. It’s important to start the morning with something fresh, whole, and light in order to have energy for the remainder of the day.
Also, my purpose for putting raw honey only on half of the bread was to cut down on the sweets today. Having a light and savory breakfast significantly reduces my sugar cravings throughout the day which means no need for that “cookie break” at 3pm.
