Eataly (italian market)

photo_eatalyBeing a proud member of the I LOVE PASTA club, I was thrilled to hear about the opening of EATALY, an Italian food market with restaurants located on 23rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in Manhattan. There is more to this enormous eatery than simply pasta. Actually, I haven’t experienced the fresh pasta yet but I’ve eaten an incredibly fresh Seafood Salad. I appreciate their Manifesto which begins like this:

0. WE’RE IN LOVE WITH FOOD.

We love high quality in food and drink. We love the stories about it, the people who produce it, the places it comes from.

If you’re in NYC, take 2-3 hours and visit soon because it’s chocolate month!

As of June 3, 2011: Birreria, Eataly’s massive beer garden will be open on the rooftop of this enormous Fifth Avenue building.
