For 5 years, Mark, owner of Doughnut Plant, made doughnuts all night long in a basement using his grandfather’s recipes then delivered orders in the morning via bicycle. Dedication. My first Doughnut Plant experience was last summer and I am a full blown junkie now. Only allowing myself 2 doughnuts max every month, my addiction is under control; however, for 3 days now, I’ve been looming about Dean & Deluca on the prowl for their Valrhona Chocolate or Blackout Cake doughnuts.
If you’re going to eat doughnuts folks, this is the place. All doughnuts are prepared using fresh seasonal fruit and fresh roasted nuts plus they don’t use any eggs, preservatives, or trans-fat. Go get ’em!!!
