deep breathing exercises

img_breathingLiving in New York City is magnificent most of the time yet challenging on many other levels. There are people everywhere and all the time. It never ceases to astonish me. My most challenging time of the day is commuting to work in the morning. Therefore, I use this time to practice deep breathing and think of the positive ways the residents of New York City have enhanced my life. For one, most of them let me take their picture which brings me joy. And secondly, New Yorkers can be extremely helpful — despite the rumors.

When we are stressing or grasping the arm of anxiety, we must remember that we’ve got it good folks — even on our worse days. Just take a few deep breaths and think about it. Inhale deeply (filling the belly with air — not sucking it in) then exhale slowly; do this 3 times.
