Serves 2 Sleepyheads
Fresh berries are miracle workers. I could write for days, okay, maybe hours, about the many ways berries can prevent a slew of ailments such as dementia, poor vision, skin rashes, and arthritis. This Summer, be extra good to your body by eating a pint or two every week. Try blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and my new favorite golden berries. And if you have issue with the seeds then you can strain the smoothie but eating seeds is my way of wholeheartedly embracing nature.
You will need:
1/2 cup water, almond milk, orange juice, or organic soymilk
1/2 pint of fresh blueberries and strawberries (or any organic berries)
a hand full of dried goji berries (sold in most health food stores or food coops)
a small hand full of raw cashews (optional)
BLEND it UP!
Serve with a sprig of fresh mint. Happy Summer and give thanks for fresh fruit!
